“Pressure injuries pose a significant risk to immobilized patients, and as the injury progresses, complications escalate, leading to increased costs. Each year, over a million Americans experience the consequences of pressure injuries, resulting in costs exceeding 30 billion USD. In a hospital setting, patients receive daily monitoring from healthcare professionals to detect pressure injuries early and initiate treatment. However, when patients are at home and immobilized, they lack professional monitoring, thereby increasing the risk of undetected pressure injuries.
To address this issue, we have developed the HAPPI solution — a mobile app that empowers caregivers to identify early signs of pressure injuries. Through the app, caregivers can periodically scan high-risk areas of the patient’s skin. If an increased risk is detected, the caregiver can promptly contact a physician for further guidance and counseling. By leveraging this technology, we can prevent high-grade injuries, reduce patient suffering, and significantly decrease insurance companies costs.”

“Tracheostomy is an operative procedure that creates a surgical airway in the cervical trachea. More than 100,000 new tracheostomies performed each year in the US alone.
Normally, air is warmed and filtered by the ciliated epithelial cells of the nose and upper airway. The lower airways respond to dry air by producing more mucus and unless air is artificially humidified there is a risk that this mucus can become dry and thick. This makes it harder to clear secretions by suctioning (or coughing) and may lead to blockage of the bronchial tree and blockage of the tracheostomy.
Therefore, there is a strict maintenance policy regarding patients with tracheostomy. The caregiver must address the patients frequently (every 2-3 hours) and perform suction in order to deal with the secretions. This leads to huge burden on the caregiver.
Our aim is to create a way to effectively maintain open airway In patients with tracheostomy In order to reduce caregiver maintenance time.
As a first stage we developed smart inner cannula used in order to remove the thick secretions stuck on the side wall of the tracheostomy tube, in an easy and reliable fashion.
As a second stage, “OP.N.AIR” a smart cannula that mimics the biologic behavior of cilia in the upper airway, provides self cleaning of the cannula, alert system and humidify the breath air.
These devises will significantly reduce the caregiver working time, will aid in reducing the inconvenience to patients and even save lives!”

“Babel is here to bring you and your newborn closer together.
Parenting is tough enough without dealing with post-partum depression (PPD). Unfortunately PPD has been shown to impact mother-baby bonding, which can have long-lasting consequences on childhood development.
Babel is not only a smart baby monitor, but an interactive tool that analyzes metrics about your baby (cry, movement, facial expressions) to help you understand what your baby needs right now. Using our novel learning algorithm, we will help you not only better understand the needs of your newborn, but teach you the tools so you can better understand by yourself.
We want you to get to a place where you don’t need babel anymore!”

“Stroke is one of the illnesses that has increased significantly in recent years, the costs involved are expected to increase in the decade that by 2030 will double.
In Wake-up stroke we do not know the moment the symptoms start and therefore many patients are excluded from the preferred treatment options
We are looking for a A way to diagnose the onset of wake-up stroke symptoms in high risk patients in order to reduce the time to intervention.
In pursuit of the possibility that we can alert selected treatment partners immediately upon the onset of symptoms.”

Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) is a severe consequence of mechanical ventilation, affecting 5-40% of intubated patients and with a mortality rate of about 13%. The financial burden on hospitals due to VAP is significant. Current solutions focus on suctioning accumulated secretions to decrease the micro aspirations leading to VAP. AVERIA stands out as the first solution designed to divert secretions at the level of the hypopharynx. With a simple design, AVERIA can be seamlessly added onto any endotracheal tube at any stage of treatment, offering a groundbreaking approach to tackle VAP’s primary cause and significantly reduce mortality rates and hospital expenses.

Multi-sensor patch for early detection of CHF
exacerbation to reduce re-admissions.
Heart failure is one of the leading causes for hospital admission in the US, accounting for almost 6.5 million hospital days annually.
25% are readmitted within 30 days of discharge and approximately.
50% are readmitted within 6 month.
The current solutions are not effective enough to prevent admissions.
Early diagnosis can save lives, Our team is focused on the early signs.
Carditect is the way to detect early signs of CHF exacerbation in patients with HF in order to reduce re-admissions.
